It’s that time of year in the NRL.

The football itself may be done and dusted but, this Friday, out-of-contract players can start negotiations with rival clubs – and the rumour mill’s been in overdrive for some time.

Latrell Mitchell will reportedly have a ten-year deal from Parramatta to ponder next year, the Bulldogs want to pay upwards of $10 million to prize both Trbojevic brothers away from Manly, while it’s probably easier for us to list the clubs who aren’t in the running for David Fifita’s signature.

With potential player moves flying around the rugby league world like pie wrappers at a suburban ground, it’s time to sort through them and make a call on which deals we like the sound of and which ones we don’t.

We were joined on the Game of Codes podcast Roar rugby league expert and editor Scott Pryde to look through all the big names reportedly on the move and make a verdict on each one.

Listen to the debate in the player above.

Latrell Mitchell, the Trbojevic brothers, Ryan Matterson and David Fifita all have their futures scrutinised.
