Was David Warner's century a good omen or a false dawn?

Australia got their home summer of cricket off to a winning start, with a stunning 134-run win over a very poor Sri Lanka at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday night.

While it takes more than a big T20 win over sub-par opposition to get the wider Aussie sporting community really excited for the cricket season, one big talking point is the apparent return to form of embattled opening batsman David Warner.

Warner’s unbeaten century came off just 56 balls as he blasted the Sri Lankan attack all over the ground.

Following a horror Ashes series following his year-long suspension, as well as a rocks-or-diamonds Shield season thus far, is this triple-figure score a sign he’s got his mojo back?

Or is it just a false dawn for an ageing opener on the decline?

We got Roar cricket expert Glenn Mitchell on the Game of Codes podcast to examine his innings and make a call on what it means going forward.

Listen to the discussion in the player above.

We also looked over the rest of the game, before making a call on what Australia needs to get out of the rest of the series.
