Manly are set to secure the long-term futures of Jake and Tom Trbojevic after tabling offers that will keep them at the NRL club until the end of 2026.

Manly are set to re-sign superstar brothers Tom and Jake Trbojevic on deals that will allow the Sea Eagles to build their NRL fortunes around the pair for the next seven years.

The Sea Eagles met with representatives for the siblings on Wednesday and ramped up their pursuit, tabling an offer worth around $12 million combined to keep them at the club until the end of 2026.

It marks the first time Manly have lodged an official offer in the negotiations for 2021 and beyond.

The representative stars are expected to agree to the terms, given they have long stated their desire to remain at their junior club.

It will also ensure they can play at least the majority of their careers together, after Jake detailed fears last weekend that wouldn’t be the case.

Off contract at the end of next year, they would have been at the top of numerous rivals’ wish lists for 2021 when they became open to outside offers on Friday.

It’s also likely they would have commanded more money elsewhere, with one report last week suggesting Canterbury were ready to throw $2.5 million a year at the pair.

But Manly have swooped just in time, after chairman Scott Penn declared this week they would do everything in their power to keep them as one-club players.

Fullback Tom is one of the most exciting players in the game at 23, having scored 44 tries in 89 games since his debut in 2015.

Jake is meanwhile the heart and spirit of the Sea Eagles, acting as a ball-playing lock who is teak tough through the middle.

Now 25, he will be 32 at the end of the deal.

The Sea Eagles also have halfback and captain Daly Cherry-Evans locked in until the end of 2023, meaning the core of their side is now secure long-term.
