After a shock loss in the semi-finals, an angry New Zealand will head out in pursuit of a podium finish when they take on Wales in the third-place play-off. The match, which will be played at the Tokyo Stadium in Japan’s capital city, is scheduled to kick-off at 8pm on Friday, November 1.

The match will be played between the two sides who lost last week’s semi-final, and poses a chance for some players to have a final hit out in the national colours, as well as the respective coaches, Steve Hansen and Warren Gatland, who will both have their last match in charge.

While the All Blacks were tournament favourites, they were upset in a stunning loss to England last week and will have to watch the match for top spot on Saturday when their bettors go up against South Africa’s Springboks, who beat Wales last weekend.

New Zealand will go into this game as heavy favourites, but as with any game which has virtually nothing on the line, an upset result wouldn’t surprise.
