Yulong Prince has upset some more heavily-favoured horses to take out the 2019 Furphy Plate at Flemington on Melbourne Cup Day.
In the third-last race of the day – the first after the Melbourne Cup itself – there was early drama as strong favourite Junipal appeared unsettled in the stalls. In the end, the $3.60 favourite failed to place.
