The key takeaways from Australia's T20 win over Pakistan

After a washout in the first T20, Australia took a 1-0 lead in their T20 series with Pakistan following a seven-wicket win on Tuesday night in Canberra.

Most cricket fans are saving themselves for the upcoming Test series – or even the crucial Australia A clash against Pakistan on Monday – but the T20s do hold some importance at the start of the international summer.

Perhaps even more so this time around, with this being one of the surprisingly few opportunities to warm up ahead of the T20 World Cup taking place next year.

So, what were the key takeaways from Tuesday night’s win at Manuka? Was the strong win a good sign of things to come? Or did we paper over some cracks by not letting players who need a good knock get to the crease?
