The Socceroos will hit the road for their next FIFA World Cup qualifying match as they travel to Jordan in what will be an important hit out for an Australian team needing to prove where they stand in Asian Football. The match is scheduled to begin at 3am (AEDT) on Friday, November 15.

The match, which will be played in Jordan’s capital city of Amman at the King Abdullah II Stadium, will be the Socceroos fourth on the road to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

While this second round of competition shouldn’t pose too many problems for Graham Arnold’s side, and hasn’t so far, this match, away from home, is likely to be the toughest of the lot and a draw could be a likely best-case result for Australia.

The Socceroos have so far won away from home against Jordan and Chinese Taipei, while they also beat Nepal in convincing fashion at home.

Jordan, on the other hand, had to settle for a draw against Kuwait, but have won their other games, and even a point here could be crucial as they attempt to qualify for the third round in their pursuit of playing at the World Cup in 2022.
