The much-hyped Code War boxing match between former AFL power forward Barry Hall and former Cronulla Sharks captain Paul Gallen will take place on Friday, November 15. Despite it not being the card’s official main event, the major draw on the card is the first-ever Code War.
Barry Hall, a known hot-head in his playing days, was a star of the AFL and also a trained boxer from a young age. But the match is Hall’s professional boxing debut.
Paul Gallen, on the other hand, is undefeated from nine pro fights including a victory over Jon Hopoate in February this year. It shapes to be an exciting bout between two of Australian sport’s toughest competitors.
The main event will see the American Elton Dharry taking on undefeated Aussie Andrew Moloney for the interim WBA Super Flyweight World Title. Moloney’s identical twin brother Jason will also be in action as he faces Nicaraguan Dixon Flores for the WBA Oceania Bantamweight Title.
