How much did we really learn from the series win over Pakistan?

Australia’s short, two-Test series with Pakistan is over and, for that, many Australian fans are thankful.

It was a fairly comprehensive 2-0 win for the home side, with the visitors only managing to claim 13 wickets across the series while being bowled out on four straight occasions in two innings victories for the Aussies.

It may not have been the most entertaining series and, although it was a very clinical performance, it has to be asked – did we actually learn anything?

Were Pakistan a poor lead-in for the upcoming tour by New Zealand – the world’s current no.2 Test side? Were there pressing questions Australia needed to answer that they didn’t against Pakistan?

We were joined by Roar cricket expert David Schout on the Game of Codes podcast to review the Test series just gone by, before turning our attention to the upcoming series against the Black Caps and making a call on what Australia needs to do to walk away from the series as winners.
