Some people reckon Boxing Day is for shopping, but we reckon it’s all about relaxing on the couch with some delicious Christmas leftovers and sinking your teeth into a ripping day of sport.
The Boxing Day Test and the Sydney to Hobart are the main events, but we’ve also got some BBL and NBL action in the evening – as well as more Test cricket from overseas – while US sport lovers have an NBA quintuple-header to salivate over. Later at night, there’s Premier League action kicking off too.
It all starts at 4am, with the Boston Celtics tackling the defending-champion Toronto Raptors in the NBA. Ben Simmons’ Philadelphia 76ers are next on the list when they tackle the Milwaukee Bucks in a potential Eastern Conference final preview.
We’ve got more basketball throughout the day, before the second Australia-New Zealand Test takes centre stage. Everyone scrambles for the remote at lunchtime to see the Sydney to Hobart get underway, before flicking back to the cricket.
