There was a total of just two draws from the ten games that were played, with both games finishing with a one-all scoreline.

There were a total of 28 goals from the ten games that were played. It appears as if the Premier League title race is over, as Liverpool sit 13 points ahead with a game in hand.

For the second round in a row there were three games that stood out; therefore I narrowed down the synopsis to just three games. If you want to find out what made the Premier League so exciting to watch then you have come to the right place.

Manchester United 4, Newcastle United 1

Manchester United leave Newcastle United red-faced

Facts and figures
Manchester United controlled the balance of play as they finished with almost three-quarters of possession and a remarkable ten shots on target. Manchester United completed the game with 22 shots to Newcastle United’s seven, which indicated that Manchester United had more attacking intent or were purely a more talented team of players.

Points of difference
Newcastle United’s tactics worked as they sat back and absorbed the pressure that Manchester United applied, at least early on. Newcastle United’s tactics were substantiated as being effective thanks to Matthew Longstaff scoring the opening goal of the game in the 17th minute.

Who made their team better?
The obvious one is Anthony Martial who scored a brace. The not-so-obvious one is the Newcastle United goalkeeper, Martin Dubravka, who made approximately six saves, which kept the margin between the two teams at three goals.

Trials and tribulations
Manchester United managed to claim all three points comfortably in the end by a margin of three goals.

Leicester City 0, Liverpool 4

Is the title race over?

Facts and figures
In a game where there were only six shots on target, all coming from Liverpool; Liverpool were victorious four goals to nil. Leicester City, incredibly, finished the game with just three shots.

Points of difference
It was a relatively comfortable win for Liverpool as they finished the game, effectively giving Leicester City a shellacking.

Who made their team better?
Trent Alexander-Arnold finished the game with a goal and two assists for Liverpool, while Roberto Firmino completed the match with a brace.

Trials and tribulations
As mentioned before, the game was extremely one-sided and fairly embarrassing from a Leicester City perspective.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 3, Manchester City 2

Manchester City didn’t show up, what a pity

Facts and figures
Manchester City somehow took a two-nil lead by the 50th minute despite the fact that they went down to ten men due to their goalkeeper, Ederson being sent off in the 12th minute of the game. Wolverhampton Wanderers deserved their 3-2 win over Manchester City.

Points of difference
Having scored the first two goals Manchester City went into their shell, with Wolverhampton Wanderers controlling possession and pretty much every area of the game. Manchester City weren’t just down to ten men, it was their number one goalkeeper that got sent off.

Who made their team better?
Raul Jiminez finished the game with an equalising goal and an assist, both coming in a seven-minute period of time. Rui Patricio may have conceded a couple of goals, but he saved a penalty. I nearly forgot Raheem Stirling who finished the game with a brace despite his team being down to ten men.

Trials and tribulations
As mentioned before, Manchester City took a two-nil lead, even though their goalkeeper Ederson was sent off early in the game.
