Since their inception, the Newcastle Knights have had 819 matches, 398 games at home, 312 players, 32 seasons, 32 skippers, 11 coaches and one incredibly passionate and loyal fan-base like no other.
If any other team went through what we did, they wouldn’t have their supporters showing up in massive numbers.
The loyal, passionate fan-base stuck with them during the hard times and did their bit in the rebuild by being there when their team needed them.
Wests bought the club to keep them in existence and we thank you for it. The club belongs to you, but the team belongs to us.

So how do the fans own the Knights? Allow me to elaborate.
Whether they have been fans from day one or supporters who joined along the way, we have seen the Newcastle Knights during their glory days and their darkest times.
We know who we’ve had play for us, we know who bled red and blue for our team on the football field and we showed them love for it, which they returned serve.
Many Knights supporters show up both home and away to cheer them on. Most times we outnumber the home team supporters and let the infamous “New-cas-tle” chant run through the place.
So it doesn’t matter who has bought the club, us hard-working fans who either live locally, drive or catch public transport own the team.
Whether you own one Knights jersey or 50, have a Knights tattoo or not, and regardless of how many games you’ve been to, you’re one of the many fans the team belongs to.
