Let’s look into the performers and under-performers of Round 17 of the A-League.

Hot

Adam Le Fondre
He scored the only goal of the match, scoring from the penalty spot, which demonstrates his ability to stand up when his side needs him. He had four shots from inside the box, which exemplifies his ability to get into attacking positions. He helped set up attacking play for his side as well, making 16 of his 23 passes (70 per cent completion rate).

Filip Kurto
He was a brick wall for his side against Newcastle. As the last line of defence, he made six crucial saves for his side, keeping a clean sheet in the process.

Andrew Nabbout
He has struggled for form in recent weeks but got it all together against Perth. Assisting his side’s first goal of the game and scoring the second goal of the game, he was an attacking threat for his side. Having been inaccurate this season, he was accurate by foot against Perth, making 18 of his 23 passes (78 per cent pass completion rate).

Cold

Harrison Delbridge
Getting sent off is becoming quiet the occurrence for Harrison Delbridge. He was once again reckless on the weekend, which resulted in a red card and jeopardised his team again as they went one man down.

Central Coast Mariners
The loss makes it three in a row. The Mariners have dropped in form in 2020, being outplayed by the Wanderers and failing to make most of their own attacking opportunities, now losing four of their last five games.

Sydney FC might be hot-to-trot, but the real test will be the derby against a confident WSW side. FC scraped though last week, while the Wanderers looked dangerous against a spirited Mariners.
