The much-awaited limited overs tour begins, with Australia taking on South Africa in what will be our first visit to the country since the infamous ball-tampering scandal. Here is The Roar’s guide to live streaming the limited overs series, or watching it on TV.

The Aussies will take on the Proteas in three T20 matches and three ODIs, before returning home to complete the summer of cricket. While there are painful Test and ODI memories to erase based on horror previous visits, Australia did prevail 2-1 in their last T20 tour of South Africa. It all gets underway with the first T20 on Saturday, February 22 (Australian time) at 3am (AEDT).

How to watch the limited overs tour on TV

There’s only one option if you want to watch either the T20 or ODI matches on TV – Fox Cricket.

While Channel Seven is the new ‘home’ of cricket in Australia, this only applies to Test matches played at home and the Big Bash League. International limited overs games are exclusive to Fox.

While you need a valid Foxtel TV subscription to access Fox Cricket (channel 501), their coverage is ad-break free during each innings.

Their coverage will typically begin just a few minutes before the first ball for each game.

How to live stream Australia vs South Africa online

If you’d prefer to live stream Australia’s limited overs tour of South Africa instead, you’re also left with just the one option.

Fortunately, it’s a good one – Kayo Sports. Kayo is available on the majority of mobile and desktop devices, as well as Samsung TVs, and lets you stream all of Fox Cricket’s content – as well as most other Fox Sports content – for just $25 a month.

If you’ve never used the service before, you may be able to score yourself a 14-day free trial.

If you do have a Foxtel subscription, but can’t get to a TV for whatever reason, don’t pay extra for Kayo – just use the Foxtel GO app, which is included in your existing Foxtel package.

As always, The Roar will have live scores on the site, as well the latest video highlights, expert analysis and fan reaction.
