ARL Commission chairman Peter V’landys says the NRL competition will resume on May 28 and the length of the season will be determined by the end of Friday.
Peter V’landys wants the season’s length decided by Friday evening and insists the planned return is realistic for the league.
Just 12 hours after Nine fired another shot at the sport and said claims of a definite May 28 return were “premature”, the ARL Commission chairman told the network there was no reason why the game couldn’t come back.
“Today (Friday) is D-Day for me,” he said.
“We will meet our contractual obligations to the broadcasters, but a decision has to be made.”
