The Richmond Tigers won the premiership in 2019, which made it a tough task to decide the ten players that they can least afford to lose.

10. Kane Lambert
Lambert finished in eighth place in the 2019 Richmond Tigers’ best and fairest and is an underrated player who has the capability to play on a half-forward flank or in the midfield.

9. Tom J. Lynch
Lynch finished fifth in the Richmond Tigers’ best and fairest and kicked an impressive 63 goals in 2019. He and Jack Riewoldt complement each other well in the forward line.

8. Nick Vlastuin
Vlastuin is a key part of the Richmond Tigers’ back six. Vlastuin finished fourth in the 2019 Richmond Tigers’ best and fairest, which is a key indicator of his importance.

7. Bachar Houli
Houli was named on a halfback flank in the 2019 AFL All-Australian team. Houli averaged the most disposals of any Tigers player in 2019, averaging 27.82 disposals. He finished seventh in the Richmond Tigers’ best and fairest.

6. Trent Cotchin
Cotchin is the captain of the Richmond Tigers and a fantastic leader. Cotchin played 14 games in season 2020 with an average of under 20 disposals per game, but he reads the game extremely well despite the fact he didn’t amass a lot of disposals.

5. Jack Riewoldt
Riewoldt showed his value to the Richmond Tigers team when he kicked five goals in the AFL grand final in 2019. Riewoldt played just 13 games in the 2019 season, averaging nearly two goals per game. He is an important part of their structure and has been named vice-captain in season 2020.

2. Dion Prestia
Prestia is a pivotal part of the Richmond Tigers’ midfield. Prestia was named in the 2019 All-Australian squad of 40. He won the 2019 Richmond Tigers’ best and fairest.

1. Dustin Martin
Martin is a match-winner and was a part of the 2019 AFL All-Australian squad of 40. He managed to kick 32 goals in 23 games and doesn’t have to amass a lot of disposals to have an impact on the contest.
