Latrell Mitchell has been in the news for all the wrong reasons, with Mitchell being caught up in social distancing breaches, as well as questions like whether he is fit enough to play fullback, is he a fullback or centre, and was it the right move to go to Souths?

Before I go on to discuss Mitchell’s Rabbitohs and their resounding 40-12 defeat of the Warriors on Friday, well done to Warriors fullback Roger Tuivasa-Sheck on being the first man to reach 1000 running metres for the 2020 season after a brilliant running performance of 184 metres.

Back to Mitchell. The star recruit now leads the competition after two impressive games against the Titans, where he scored his first try in South Sydney colours and registered three try assists, and now the Warriors, after he produced two try assists in the 40-12 win.

Cody Walker, in his 100th game, got sin-binned in the dying minutes of the first half but still managed one try and two try assists after two brilliant kicks for Braidon Burns and Alex Johnston.

Alex Johnston scored two tries and picked up 111 running metres with centre Campbell Graham scoring one try and picking up 202 running metres.

Kodi Nikorima also got sin-binned but managed 160 kick metres with halfback Blake Green picking up 407 kicking metres and a try assist for David Fusitu’a.

The Rabbitohs finished off with 54 per cent possession and a completion rate of 69 per cent with the Warriors missing 43 tackles to Souths’ 20 but Souths made 17 errors to the Warriors’ 11.

Damien Cook made 52 tackles and didn’t miss a single one. That number of tackles was also the most of any player in the game. Campbell Graham made the most metres with 202.

Next weekend, the Rabbitohs take on a red-hot Panthers side after a win over the Storm 21-14 and the Warriors have Cameron Smith’s Storm on Friday night.
