The Portuguese international has been phenomenal since his arrival in English football.

He has been a great addition to the Manchester United team and has proven himself a jewel. His terrific performances backed up with goals and assists have made him a household name to the United fans.

His brilliant and incredible show upon his arrival has seen United go on a 16-game unbeaten run in all competitions. He has scored six goals in 13 appearances for the Red Devils across that period.

Manchester United had a below-par first half of the season. Although not losing to any of the big six of English football, United had problems with teams who sat back to defend.

Breaking teams that defend deep was a challenge and cost United certain times. The amount of quality in the team’s midfield area was not vigorous enough. Players like Paul Pogba missed most of the campaign due to injury.

Nemanja Matic, not so energetic as times past, Andreas Pereira and Jesse Lingard put in really poor displays for the team. Fred is still finding his feet in the team.

Sorting new midfield options, the team brought in Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon in a deal worth around £50 million ($90 million).

Since his arrival in Manchester, he has been superb and fantastic to watch.

His control of the ball, shooting from range, scoring and creating space for teammates, dead ball specialty and work rate earned him the Premier League player of the month award in February and the Manchester United player of the month award in February.

The United midfield area has been revamped and being paired alongside Paul Pogba has made them a real threat. The team’s scoring rate, the mentality of the players and the balance in the team has immensely improved.

The team has averaged 2.4 goals since his debut for the team and the team has scored three goals in each of the last two league games.

With the huge impact he’s had on the team, there’s definitely no doubt in his abilities to propel this team to a greater level.

Manchester United might have eventually found the missing piece to take them back to the top and enable them compete for the league.
