Domestic rugby union finally makes its return in Australia as the new Super Rugby AU season gets underway. Check out this handy guide to find out how to live stream every Super Rugby AU match, or watch them on TV.
After international travel restrictions necessitated the cancellation of this year’s Super Rugby competition, Rugby Australia, fortunately, announced the creation of a five-team Australian-only competition to fill the gap. The NSW Waratahs, ACT Brumbies, Queensland Reds, Melbourne Rebels and resurrected Western Force will participate in a ten-week regular season with finals at the end.
Each team will play each other twice, while also enjoying two byes. You can check out the full Super Rugby AU fixtures here.
The process for live streaming Super Rugby AU is virtually the same as it was for normal Super Rugby and is the same as it is for New Zealand’s Super Rugby Aotearoa.
Your best option is Kayo Sports, which will let you live stream every match of the season live and without adbreaks (apart from halftime). Kayo also offers on-demand replays and extended highlights packages if you weren’t able to watch the game live.
A Kayo subscription costs $25 per month but, if you’ve never used the service, you’ll be eligible for a 14-day free trial.
If you’re already a Foxtel subscriber, but can’t get to a TV in time for the rugby, you’re better off using Foxtel GO, which is included in your subscription and lets you watch channels you’re subscribed to on the go.
Alterntively, if you want to stream Foxtel content outside of sport, you should consider a Foxtel Now subscription – which functions essentially as a normal Foxtel subscription, but for your non-TV device.
The only way to watch Super Rugby AU on TV will be through Fox Sports.
Watching Fox Sports, as you probably guessed, requires a Foxtel TV subscription with the sports bundle.
