Let us take a look at Royal Challengers Bangalore squad, strengths, weaknesses and their key players.

Squad
Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Gurkeerat Mann, Devdutt Padikkal, Aaron Finch, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Siraj, Umesh Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Kane Richardson, Dale Steyn, Isuru Udana, Moeen Ali, Pawan Negi, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Chris Morris, Pavan Deshpande, Parthiv Patel, Joshua Philippe, Shahbaz Ahamad.

Strengths

Top order
RCB has a dynamic top three in Aaron Finch, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers and they will remain as the team’s core strength. The impact these three players have on the pitch will be very important for their side, as it could determine their fate.

All-rounders
Bangalore is one team that has plenty of all-rounders with as many as eight of them in their squad. All-rounders are very important, especially in T20 cricket and RCB has plenty to choose from. The team has a great mix of both the batting all-rounders and bowling all-rounders.

Weaknesses

Middle-order
Bangalore has a power-packed batting line up at the top, but everything seems to fade at their middle order. They seem to be lacking a proper middle-order batsman.

Finishers
Another issue for RCB is lower down the order. The plan on who will finish the innings is a question they will have to ask themselves. Royal Challengers Bangalore will hope that the likes of Aaron Finch, Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers will stay until the end, otherwise it could be a difficult situation for them as they only have a few other options on hand.

This big responsibility of finishing games will mainly depend on the hands of Moeen Ali and Shivam Dube, who would have immense pressure to end the innings after the big guns have scored a chunk of the runs.

Death bowling
It is a well-known fact that RCB has always struggled with their death bowling for a few seasons now. Players like Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Siraj and Navdeep Saini have all gone for plenty at the death overs and Chinaswami isn’t an easy place to bowl at all.

Thankfully for them, this year the IPL will be held in the UAE and they will hope that they can change their fortunes now. The addition of Chris Morris and Kane Richardson this year might help them perform better.

Key players

2. AB De Villiers
