It’s only taken until October, but the first southern hemisphere rugby Test of 2020 is here, and it’s a Bledisloe Cup opener between the All Blacks and Wallabies. Here’s everything you need to know to watch New Zealand versus Australia on TV and via a live stream.

Both sides come into Bledisloe 1 at the start of fresh eras. For the Wallabies, Dave Rennie has marked his first match as an international coach by naming a new-look side, with just two of the starters from the side’s last Test in October last year in the run-on XV today.

The All Blacks, too, have undergone change, with Ian Foster taking over from former coach Steve Hansen. While New Zealand have a far more settled line-up, they were dealt a late blow with Beauden Barrett ruled out through injury after initially being named to start at fullback.

There are a few different ways to get in front of a (legal) live stream of the All Blacks versus the Wallabies in Australia.

One such way is via Kayo Sports. The sports-only streaming platform will carry Fox Sports’ coverage of Game 1 – and the entire Bledisloe Cup and Rugby Championship, for that matter – both live and on-demand, so it’s an excellent option regardless of whether you want to watch everything as it happens or catch up later.

Kayo subscriptions begin at $25 per month, and new customers can check it out first with a 14-day free trial.

If a free service will suffice just fine for you, 10 Play has you covered. The Ten Network’s streaming platform will show their own coverage of the match live from 1:30pm (AEDT).

Alternatively, if you have a Foxtel TV subscription with the sports pack included but can’t get in front of the telly for the game, you’ll be able to watch it online through Foxtel Go. It will give you live streaming access to all the channels included in your TV subscription.

Finally, Foxtel Now is another streaming provider which will be showing Bledisloe 1. It’s a paid service which is far pricier than Kayo, but it includes a wider range of content outside just sport, and there’s a ten-day free trial available for new users.

The Ten Network is the free-to-air broadcaster of all Wallabies Tests and so will be showing Bledisloe 1 live and free. Their coverage begins half an hour before kick-off, starting at 1:30pm (AEDT), and will have around half an hour of post-game wrap-up, with the broadcast due to finish at 4:30pm (AEDT).

If you’re a Foxtel subscriber with the sports pack included in your deal, then you’ll also be able to watch the match on Fox Sports. Fox Sports 505 will have all the Bledisloe Cup action. Like Ten, they’ll start their coverage half an hour before kick-off and finish half an hour after full-time, with the broadcast running from 1:30-4:30pm (AEDT).
