It’s do-or-die for the Melbourne Storm and Canberra Raiders, as they get the NRL preliminary finals weekend underway. If you’re after a Storm-Raiders live stream, or just trying to find out how to get it on the TV, you’re in the right place.
The Storm are through to yet another preliminary final, after finishing second and knocking off the Parramatta Eels in their qualifying final. Canberra finished fifth and made light work of Cronulla in the first week, before upsetting the Sydney Roosters in last week’s semi to progress.
This will be a rematch of last year’s prelim, famously won by the Raiders on route to their fairytale grand final appearance.
Kick-off for this preliminary final is 7:50pm (AEDT). However, Melbourne’s COVID outbreak means this match will be played at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium – making kick-off 6:50pm in local time.
The best of what is many streaming options for this match is Kayo Sports. You’ll be able to watch Fox League’s telecast of the match on your preferred mobile device, computer or smart TV.
If you’ve never used Kayo before, you may be eligible for a 14-day free trial. Otherwise, a subscription costs $25 a month.
Another option is Foxtel Now, which lets you stream almost all of Foxtel’s TV content – more than just sport. If you want to have access to their drama or comedy stuff as well, this might be a better option.
But, if you already have a Foxtel TV subscription, don’t waste money on another subscription you don’t need. You can just use Foxtel GO to access any channels included in your plan on your preferred device.
Another option is the NRL Digital Pass, which lets you stream a bunch of NRL content on your mobile phone. If you’re a Telstra customer, it might be free.
There’s also a free live streaming option via 9Now. Once you make an account, you’ll be able to use Nine’s official streaming service to access their broadcast.
If you’re overseas, your only option will be to see if Watch NRL to work in your country.
For coverage free of ad breaks during play, your best bet is to use Fox League – available on Foxtel channel 502 – provided you have a valid Foxtel TV subscription.
For free-to-air coverage, it’ll be good old Channel Nine.
