International cricket returns to home shores today for the first ODI between Australia and India at the SCG. Don’t fret if you’re not lucky enough to be in limited attendance for the match, we’ve got all the information you need to watch it on TV or live stream it online.
The first game of the ODI series is scheduled to start at 2:40pm (AEDT), which means a 1:40pm (AEST) start for Queensland viewers. Elsewhere, you can catch the first ball at 2.10pm (ACDT) in South Australia, 1:10pm (ACST) for Northern Territory viewers and 11:40am (AWST) for Western Australians tuning in.
There are options aplenty to live stream the one-day-international. First up, we’ve got Kayo Sports, who will be carrying Fox Sports’ coverage and commentary live and on-demand. Kayo offer a 14-day free trial for new customers or you can sign up to the streaming service for just $25 per month.
Alternatively, you can watch Australia versus India live or on-demand on Foxtel Now – though it’s a little bit more expensive as you have to purchase the sports package separately. However, they do also have a free trial available, this one for ten days.
Existing Foxtel customers can also stream the match live on Foxtel Go.
Unfortunately, the match will not be available on any free-to-air channels. That leaves pay TV provider Foxtel as your only choice to view the first ODI on TV.
Fox Sports 501, the dedicated Fox Cricket channel, will be broadcasting the one-dayer with coverage beginning at 2pm (AEDT), with the first delivery at 2:40pm. Before the game, they’ll also be showing highlights of the last ODI series meeting between the two nations.
There’ll be a break in play at 6:10pm (AEDT) for 30 minutes at the conclusion of the first innings before play resumes at 6:40pm. So don’t sweat it if you’re working during the day, you’ll still be able to catch the chase concluding at around 10:10pm (AEDT) before a 20-minute post-match wrap-up.
If you’d prefer to listen to the action, the simplest way is to download the Cricket Australia Live app or create a free account on the Cricket Australia website. From here you can listen to ABC Grandstand’s live audio coverage of Australia versus India.
