I’m looking to keep it going this week after a solid effort last Saturday, highlighted by getting it right with Monegal in the last at spicy odds.

Reviewing the Rosehill card it’s obvious the carnival is over, but there’s still a couple of nice races – and money to be made. I’ll keep it simple going ten units.

Dixie’s 2020 tally
Units bet: 489
Units won: 562.90
Stats are based on one unit being equal to a $1 win bet New South Wales dividends. See the comments for any changes based on scratchings or track condition.

Rosehill selections

Race 4 – 9 He’s a Hotshot (one unit)
He’s a Hotshot gets in pretty well here off solid midweek efforts. He’s never missed a place from ten starts on good tracks.

Race 5 – 13 Valdostana (one unit)
I am hoping Valdostana is ready fresh. Fender/Zakat pre-Spring is good enough.

Race 6 – 10 Bonvicini (one unit)
Bonvicini is coming off good runs against mares over the Melbourne carnival, and she’s in nicely with 53 kilos. I am wary of Greysful Glamour.

Race 7 – 15 Through the Cracks (two units)
There are a couple of nice Godolphin taking this on. Through the Cracks is a horse on the up that can take them at the weights.

Race 8 – 13 Inanup (three units)
This horse is three from five second-up, and five from 12 at the trip, with a big drop in weight. This horse is the best of the day.

Race 9 – 13 Criminal Code (two units)
I’m trying to get a sneaky win in the last again, using a similar theory. Criminal Code has transferred from WA to be with Chris Waller. His midweek run was fine and he’s ready now.

Good luck and stay well.
