Albion Park and Tabcorp Park Menangle are the two main meetings set down for Tuesday, with good depth across the board for the midweeks.

Down below is best bets for the respective programs.

Albion Park
Best Bet: Race Three Number 1 Catch Phrase

Looks a lovely race to break the maiden tag for this Bettors Delight filly, that has the Shannon Price polish with stable driver Adam Sanderson steering.

Lot of merit in her effort here last Tuesday when parked out and kept finding under pressure when a close up third to Woodlands Rose, who has been bursting to win a race for a number of weeks and duly saluted.

Hoping Catch Phrase has enough gate speed to hold a forward spot and if so, think she’s too good for this lot.

Next Best: Race Seven Number 1 Flame Lady
She has somewhat let punters down in four runs in Australia since arriving from New Zealand. In saying that, she has finished runner up at all four outings, the latest coming last Tuesday where she had to take cover and chase, where she was game in defeat when second to Frost En Ice.

From the pole, has the early speed to lead and prove hard to run down. She has been costly, so I’d want $3.50-$4+ before betting. If she starts shorter, I’d be happy to just watch her go around.

Value: Race Five Number 2 Gretels Girl
This is more a 1×3 play. She’s an honest filly who has been runner up in all four runs back from a spell, all four runs coming at Redcliffe, so that’s the query.

Whether she’s better suited at that level instead of the main track of Albion Park, but she has gate speed and I think should cross the pole marker. From there, should get a lovely run just off the speed. If I had $50 on the race, it would be something like $15 Win/$35 Place on this girl.

Tabcorp Park Menangle
Best Bet: Race One Number 2 Inherent Royal

Pretty thin Trotters race and if she brings anything remotely close to her New Zealand form, plus the recent trial, she’s far too good for this lot.

Loved the recent trial win at Menangle by this former Kiwi and has gate speed, so should find the front and all things being equal, she wins and anything above $2 I’d happily dive into.

Next Best: Race Three Number 4 Right Moves
The booking of Robbie Morris is swaying me towards him being a bet in this race. Had too much to do last Tuesday here but closed off and was game in defeat I thought behind Scenic Sky.

His form in recent times is suspect, but the driver booking I do have to take note of and the likely odds on pop was terrible last time, and the subsequent trial was just fair. Looks a race in two, and I feel he is the better option from an odds perspective.

Value: Race Six Number 3 Deano Robyn
He’s a beauty for Ian Wilson and I think can take this out at a price. Ran 4/7 last Tuesday here, but the run was full of merit given he was parked outside the speed throughout and kept chipping away to be beaten only 13m. Have to go back nearly 18 months to find his last win, but think he’s going well enough to run a positive race here and can back him each way.
