We’re off to Randwick again this week where hopefully Santa has several juicy winners.

Big fields are one certainty, and there are plenty of closely matched contests. I’ll do my best to jag a couple.

Last week saw another nice profit. I was generally a little bit off the mark but Kirwan’s Lane at double-figure odds did the trick.

It’s Christmas, and with a couple of things I rate across the massive ten-race card, I’ll throw out 15 units.

Dixie’s 2020 tally
Units bet: 519
Units won: 605.30
Stats are based on one unit being equal to a $1 win bet New South Wales dividends. See the comments for any changes based on scratchings or track condition.

Race 4 – 10 Parry Sound (one unit)
I’m starting a big afternoon with Parry Sound in the distance race. He’s been freshened slightly and is back from 2400 races but seems nicely weighted, and will enjoy any give in the ground.

Race 5 – 9 Nyami (one unit)
Nyami has been running well this preparation. I get good vibes from Team Waller bringing him to Saturday grade and he’s in nicely. Fulmina is a very nice horse. This horse rates well but is too short.

Race 6 – Invinciano (two units)
I am plonking on Invinciano again after a fail first up. She was too strong finishing last preparation and I’ll give her one more chance. This is a nice race. I like Saigon and Macushla if pushed.

Race 7 – 10 Sally’s Day (one unit)
Sally’s Day is another horse stepping up from midweek level and getting some serious weight relief as a result. She’s in well in a competitive race. Human Nature is a big threat coming up from Melbourne.

Race 8 – 9 Intuition (two units)
My speculator of the week pops up here with Intuition. The weight drop with apprentice Ceejay Graham on board was the kicker. If you can get 50/1, take it! The race rated evenly around him. Edison is too short but should be competitive.

Race 9 – 14 Pandano (two units)
I am happy to have a dabble on Jay Ford and Pandamo here. He could lift and show something down at the 1200 metres. Horses 9, 15, 7 and 11 all rated slightly behind.

Race 10 – 14 Arabian Hussey (four units)
I have made Arabian Hussey my best bet of the day. She’s been very good in her short career and I take a bit of confidence from her betting price continuing to firm and firm since markets opened. I’ll load up on it. I had the biggest risk as Faraway Jewel, also down in weight.

Good luck and stay safe over the break. Please send through tips and tricks.
