A couple of meetings to look at on Tuesday, with the main focus on Tabcorp Park Menangle. Down below are the best bets for the respective programs.

Tabcorp Park Menangle

Best bet: Race Two Number 5 Don Winsdor
Short but should be winning. Former Kiwi who did a really good job in his first Australian prep when last in work, running good times and the form around him does read well for this. Has gate speed, so if he finds the front, it should be race over. Short, but looks a good thing.

Next Best: Race Five Number 2 Better Than Grande (Place)
Muscle Factory should lead and win, so I am hoping there will be eight starters so that second and third pay out, because this guy looks a near good thing to run a place. He will sit behind Muscle Factory throughout and they should sit on the pegs for a fair portion for the race. Great place bet.

Value: Race Three Number 2 Kylie’s Life
She’s worth a speck at the odds. It wasn’t a strong race she won last Tuesday, but she did get the job done from the stand and finished best for a deserving win. This looks a harder assignment, but potentially can land three back the pegs and from there, is a sneaky chance at a decent price.

Best Bet: Race One Number 2 Rockslide
Small, but competitive card at the Creek, and the best comes up in the first via Rockslide. I thought he was very good in defeat here on January 23.

Led from gate six and tried to lead throughout. Gave a really good kick but just tired late and was nabbed near the line. He will lead more comfortably this time around and is clearly the one to beat.

Next Best: Race Six Number 2 At West Point
Looks a great bet in the get-out. Forget he went around last time. Drew poorly and just couldn’t get involved in the race. He is a much better horse when he can show his gate speed, lead and dominate from the front, which is a scenario he should get here and he’ll be winning, should that eventuate.

Value: Race Three Number 1 Elzboy
Bit of a throw at the stumps at odds with this veteran, who should be forgiven for his first-up run at Kilcoy on Jan 25. He got badly checked in the run and didn’t seem entirely happy on the grass track.

Draws the pole here, so hopefully can hold a forward spot and if that eventuates, can run a race at a price.
