There are two meetings to look at on Wednesday night.

Bendigo and Redcliffe are the focus.

Below are the best bets for the respective programs.

Bendigo

Best bet: Race 1, Number 1, Glamour Rainbow
Whata Glimpse is a pretty talented mare, but this filly can turn the tables from their clash here on Thursday. This girl copped serious heat in front last time before eventually looking for cover, and she battled on well to run second. There won’t be as much pressure this time around and if that run hasn’t busted her, she’ll take beating.

Next best: Race 3, Number 2, Orchid Stride
This looks like a good kick-off point for this filly. This horse won a heat of the Gold Tiara as a juvenile so that shows the level of class she has. This horse only had one run last prep where she was tailed off at Menangle after galloping. This horse has trialled up very well at Melton to get ready for the resumption and she can put this lot away.

Value: Race 5, Number 8, Rockabella Starz
I give this mare a knockout chance at double figures. This horse has contested strong races in town in her past couple of races. The latest was a very fast-run Rising Stars final where she couldn’t handle the sustained heat. This horse is better suited here and should she land leaders back, she only runs well against this lot.

Redcliffe

Best bet: Race 1, Number 1, Artistic Saint
This looks like a race in two, but I’m quite keen on this gelding to turn the tables on Signore Jujon. This pair clashed last Wednesday and it was Signor Jujon who was able to win. The barrier draw this time around is certainly in the corner of Artistic Saint and should he hold and lead, he’ll take a power of beating.

Next best: Race 8, Number 1, Melton Max Gentle
This horse does not have the greatest of winning strike rates, but he has a gate to use. This horse had a suck run behind the speed here last Thursday and battled away well to run fifth, and was beaten by around five metres. This horse has all the options in the world drawing the inside, so gets run of the race and is clearly the one to beat.

Value: Race 2, Number 1, Gangbuster
This horse could well go around at silly odds here and is worth a decent speck each way. Forget he went around here last Thursday. This horse was working into a forward spot but couldn’t get in so had to drag back to last and that sealed his fate. From the pole, he can land a plum spot and turn around his form.
