Two meetings to look at on Tuesday, with the focus being at Tabcorp Park Menangle and Albion Park. Down below is best bets for the respective programs.
Menangle
Best Bet: Race Four Number 8 Hotjane Bling
Short but sweet. Didn’t really fire towards the end of last prep in the Spring but we know she has the talent under the hood to give this an almighty shake and put a margin on them.
Has looked great at the trials at Menangle and if she runs up the way she has been trialling, it’s race over.
Next Best: Race Two Number 7 Master Stride
Looks a likely type this two year old colt. Debuted a few weeks ago at Ballarat in what looked a strong race for the babies. He did a bit wrong in the run but liked the way he finished his race off in what I think will turn out to be a strong form reference.
Tricky draw, but think he has the ability to overcome it.
Value: Race One Number 4 Affaire De Cover
Aldebaran Ursula has class and looks the likely winner, but will be quite short, so looking for value and I think that lies with this gelding, who is first up.
He didn’t do a bad job against the older horses when last in work and thought his recent Menangle trial was very sharp, so keen to see how he goes.
Albion Park
Best Bet: Race Three Number 1 Major Franco:
Just looks a perfect map for this guy. Just had to do a bit too much work when racing last start over the 2138m here last Tuesday but despite the early burn was only beaten 0.7m. Drawn the pole, he should get run of the race behind likely leader B Mac C and have last look via the sprint lane.
Next Best: Race One Number 8 Jansson
He’s a beauty and provided the back up from Saturday is no issue, he’ll take beating here. He went through a rich Series and contested the final on Saturday where he was again brilliant away and had a soft trip. Just lacked the class.
Much better suited here and I think he’s got a class edge on this lot.
Value: Race Two Number 1 Last Place Lucy
I think she’ll be good odds here and only runs well if her resumption is any guide. She resumed here last Tuesday and I thought was good in defeat when third, chasing strongly and getting close to running second and beating home Big Wheels. That horse likely goes around odds on. Just feel this girl will be a decent price.
