Two meetings to look at on Tuesday, with Tabcorp Park Menangle and Albion Park getting my attention. Down below is best bets for the respective programs.

Tabcorp Park Menangle
Best Bet: Race Two Number 1 Eye Can Fly
Short but sweet here. She just has panels on these re class. Impressive in winning a heat of the Gold Tiara before contesting the Final where she was far from disgraced in defeat behind Just Hope, who is a star. Has gate speed so should have little trouble holding up and I think it’ll be a painless watch.

Next Best: Race One Number 3 Captains Queen
Pretty keen on this girl in the opener. Has done little wrong in her short career to date, winning two of three. Her taste of defeat came last start in the Gold Tiara where she was beaten by a top class juvenile in Just Hope. I think the exposed form is in her corner quite clearly and seems a real professional.

Value: Race Three Number 5 Puma Road
Can make a little case for him at odds. Be forgiving of his down the track effort two weeks ago here when leading and copping pressure in front before tiring late. Has enough gate speed to cross them early, then potentially hand up. His best is good enough and you should get well into double figures.

Albion Park
Best Bet: Race Two Number 2 Paratrooper
This looks the weaker of the APG Heats but do feel Paratrooper is a good thing. Grant Dixon trains and comes here second up after resuming with a win at Redcliffe, where he led throughout and was dominant in the run to the line. Looks the leader and from there, he should take a power of beating.

Next Best: Race Four Number 7 Aunty Bella
The draw makes it tricky on paper, but that should ensure you’ll get a better price. I’m keen on this Chris Frisby runner. I thought she was excellent from the back at Bathurst last time behind a smart animal in Saint Julien, clocking fast late splits. If she’s within range 400m out, she has the change up speed to out these away.

Value: Race Three Number 1 Aye Aye Captain
On class, I’d say no, but he does possess good gate speed and is drawn the pole, so Shane Graham has a few options. Forget he went around at Redcliffe last time. Just had to do too much work from the gate and was a tired horse late. He either leads or box seats here, so think he only runs well at a decent price.
