Two meetings to look at on Tuesday, with my focus at Albion Park and Tabcorp Park Menangle. Down below are the best bets for the respective programs.

Albion Park

Best bet: Race 7, Number 2, Held To Ransom
Team Morris rarely get it wrong when they send a team to Brisbane, so pretty keen on this mare to get into the winners list. Recent efforts at Menangle have been quite strong and she comes through some really solid form races. Drawn well here, expect Robbie Morris to find the front, control and I think she’ll be too good.

Next best: Race 2, Number 9, Kraze
He has done a super job since coming to Queensland and I think he can continue his winning ways. Kept on the fresh side, having not raced since April 16 when winning here in impressive fashion. 20-metre handicap, but is usually clean from the stand and ability wise, he has a bit on these.

Value: Race 8, Number 1, Just Rokin
I think he’s worth a speck each way. Two runs back from a spell, there have been clear excuses each time he has stepped out. Sat parked fresh and felt the pinch late. Then last start, he bled from one nostril, so just forget he went around. He has a good barrier to use here and his best is more than good enough.

Tabcorp Park Menangle

Best bet: Race 1, Number 11, Tailored Elegance
Just has to step away cleanly from the standing start and this mare will just have far too much class for this lot. Last run for Brent Lilley came in a Group III here when getting the suck run behind the leader and battling on pretty well to run second. Drops massively in grade and depth, she’s clearly the one to beat.

Next best: Race 6, Number 8, Jay Bracken
Has good form around him from last prep to resume a winner here. Hasn’t raced since October 27 when down the track in a solid two-year-old race here. His trials leading in have been solid enough to suggest he’s ready to go for a first up win. Just depends where he gets to in the run from the draw but happy to be with him.

Value: Race 8, Number 2 Gentle Giant
Just a peanut each way on this guy, who will likely go around at triple figures. Hammertime Harley should hold the lead from the pole, so expecting this guy to land in the box seat behind him. His recent efforts haven’t been too bad and he was luckless here three back, so I think he’s going well enough to fill a place at a big price.
