Two meetings to look at on Thursday, with Penrith and Redcliffe getting my attention. Down below are your best bets for the respective programs.

Penrith

Best bet: Race One Number 1 I’m Freyja
Former WA pacer that is having start one for Jack Trainor. She can make a winning account for the new camp.

Her recent form over there was average, but we so often see that these WA pacers grow a leg with a change of scenery, so I’m confident that Trainor can spark good improvement from this girl.

Next-best: Race Two Number 9 Enemy Lines
This guy is flying and I think he can continue his winning ways.

Few weeks between runs since recording a sharp win at this track when sitting off the speed and unleashing a powerful finale to win and win well. Has another trailing draw again but hard to knock the way he’s going at the moment.

Value: Race Five Number 1 Pocket More For Less
Can make a little case for this gelding at a price.

Recent runs have been okay, without setting the world on fire, but he does find quite a thin race. Far from disgraced at Canberra last time out and does race well here. Should land in a good spot from the pole and 1×3 at odds, he’s a play for sure.

Redcliffe

Best bet: Race Nine Number 1 Ark Me
Just looks such a perfect map for this mare.

I’d forgive her last start effort at Albion Park. Just got into a tricky spot from the gate and couldn’t figure in the finish. Drawn the pole, she should land box seat and get her chance to blouse them late via the sprint lane. Really keen on her chances.

Next-best: Race Two Number 1 Gotta Beauty
Looks a race in two but confident this filly gets the job done at start two.

Debuted here last Thursday when having a second row draw. Sat off the speed and worked home strongly late to run second.

Much better gate this time around, should hold a forward spot and prove hard to beat.

Value: Race Seven Number 7 My Ultimate Clippa
He is worth a shout here at a price.

Was just too bad to be true last time out at Albion Park. He dropped out too quickly and was very plain late.

Prior form was sound and with a good trailing draw here, he’ll do no work. If he gets luck in the run, he’ll be dangerous at a price.
