Nine’s Wide World of Sports has reported overnight that Penrith and Queensland star Kurt Capewell could be on his way to Brisbane next season.
According to the report, Capewell has agreed in principle to a three-year deal that would commence next season and tie him to the Broncos until the end of 2024.
Capewell, who turns 28 in July, made 64 appearances for Cronulla between 2016 and 2019, before joining the Panthers ahead of the 2020 season.
He’s played 20 games for the club so far, while also making four appearances for Queensland since last season in the unusual position of centre.
Neither club, nor Capewell, have made an official statement on the reports.
