Injury drama and fixturing chaos ahead of the first Test made it an eventful week in the world of rugby, and gives us plenty to dissect in the latest edition of Coach’s Corner.

If you’re new here; every Friday, The Roar’s resident rugby expert, Nick Bishop, answers all your questions about the greatest game.

Sydney’s COVID-19 outbreak has seen the Wallabies’ first Test against France, scheduled for July 7, moved north to Suncorp Stadium… for now, at least.

Will it still be in Brisbane by the time Wednesday week rolls around? Does the move suit the Wallabies, or not make much difference? And how will the latest COVID-19 drama affect France’s preparation for the crunch series?

Overseas, the British and Irish Lions’ tour of South Africa got off to a mixed start in their warm-up match against Japan. Yes, they were too good for the Brave Blossoms, winning 28-10 – but Warren Gatland might have taken a defeat if it meant avoiding the tour-ending dislocated shoulder suffered by captain Alun Wyn Jones.

Irish scrum-half Conor Murray has been named captain in Jones’ place… was he the right choice? And how will the Lions fare against the reigning world champions in the Springboks without Jones?

Got a question for Nick? Be sure to leave it in the comments section below, and come back later in the week to see what he has to say!
