Lachie Swinton, the man who was red-carded in his debut against the All Blacks last year is back in the Wallabies team for the second Bledisloe Cup game.
Swinton copped a three-game suspension for a high shot on Sam Whitelock in Brisbane.
The Wallabies went onto win that game and now Swinton gets his chance again after only playing 35 minutes in his debut.
Marika Koroibete has also been confirmed to make his return after being stood down for a drinking session before Game 1.
All up there are four changes to the starting XV with Matt To’omua switched to inside centre with Matt Philip to start in the second row.
There’s no change to the halves pairing with Tate McDermott and Noah Lolesio to start the game while Andrew Kellaway gets another start after his impressive performance last week.
Scott Sio has been named in his first Wallabies side of 2021 as the finishing loosehead.
“Eden Park is a place that most teams fear but we’re excited to get another crack after last weekend’s disappointment,” Wallabies coach Dave Rennie said.
“To beat New Zealand, you have to win the collisions and be clinical for 80 minutes and we didn’t do that.
“We’ve got a lot more in us and we’ll show that on Saturday night.”
Meanwhile, The All Blacks have also named their team to take on the Wallabies in Auckland.
Hooker Samisoni Taukei’aho comes onto the reserves bench for Dane Coles, and Scott Barrett returns as reserve lock.
Rieko Ioane moves to centre, replacing Anton Lienert-Brown who has a knee injury. Sevu Reece has been moved to the left-wing and Will Jordan comes in on the right-wing. Halfback TJ Perenara also returns to the All Blacks matchday 23, as halfback reserve.
“We’re all excited to be returning to Eden Park for the second Bledisloe Cup Test. It’s been a very ‘forward looking’ week. We were delighted with the result last weekend and obviously had some things that we had to work on this week so that has kept us focussed,” All Blacks coach Ian Foster said.
“The Bledisloe Cup means a lot to us. It’s an historic trophy and it’s easy for people to take it for granted based on results in recent years, but throughout history it has been a hard Cup to win, so it’s hugely important.”
For the first time, back-to-back Bledisloe matches will be played at Eden Park, a ground the Wallabies haven’t won at since 1986.
Despite the 33-25 loss by the Wallabies in Game 1, the Australian camp remains confident and after scoring a try in his starting debut Andrew Kellaway is not overawed.
“I think the cobwebs are out, so to speak. A couple of those boys have played the All Blacks for the first time, myself included. Maybe the aura has worn off a little bit,” Kellaway told the Big Sports Breakfast.
“To be honest, the pressure is pretty much on them. You don’t want to be the first All Blacks team to lose at Eden Park. There’s no real pressure on our end. Hopefully we roll out there and do a number on them. We’ve probably put out an unpolished performance on the weekend and you can almost look at it like a dress rehearsal. Now we’re ready to roll.”
