Two meetings to look at on Tuesday, with Tabcorp Park Menangle and Wagga getting my focus. Down below are your best bets for the respective programs.
Best bet: Race 6, Number 1, Leap To Fame
Smaltese is just about the benchmark for two-year-old colts in Sydney.
This will be a good guide as to where Queensland colt Leap To Fame sits. He is simply too good for them up there. He has done work in the run and been there to be run down, but he has simply been too good. He draws to stalk Smaltese and get every chance.
Next-best: Race 9, Number 7, Chrissy Chic
Was a little query on how well she was going but that was put to bed at Penrith last time. Overcame a second row draw and she was miles too good for them in an impressive display. She’s back on track now, so I think she will lead this field up and from there, can dominate proceedings.
Value: Race 10, Number 4, Jedi Mind
On the quick back up and I think he can run a positive race at odds. Ran on Saturday night here and was good in defeat in a race much stronger than this. He should get a suck run from the draw and if cuddled for the straight, I think he has the finale to finish over the top.
Best bet: Race 2, Number 10, The Irish Eagle
Back in class, he’ll take a power of beating. He has contested much stronger races this prep in two runs, both coming at this track. Been safely held both runs, but has been far from disgraced. Back to this level, he’ll get a suck run from the draw and take a power of beating.
Next-best: Race 4, Number 6, I Am Speed
This mare is racing well and can bounce back into the winners list. Tough win here two back before leading here last week, giving a solid kick, but just felt the pinch late. Drawn wide, but I think she’ll press forward, find the front and from there, will take beating and running down.
Value: Race 5, Number 1, Angelic Miss
Hopefully we can get each way odds about this mare. She’s flying, I feel, and finally comes up with a good draw to use. Good from off the speed last time out here after drawing wide. Hopefully can land leaders back and if that eventuates, I think she’ll only run well.
