Two meetings to look at on Tuesday, with Albion Park and Tabcorp Park Menangle getting my focus. Down below is best bets for the respective programs.

Albion Park

Best bet: Race 1, Number 1, Alta Revelry
It’s easy to get carried away with trials, but gee he looked very sharp in the trial, which came here. He was behind the speed throughout and looked to be absolutely trucking, full of running and could have bolted up if he was allowed clear air. If he runs up to that, he wins this.

Next-best: Race 2, Number 6, Princess Faith
Can be hit and miss at the start but if she steps cleanly and is within range on the turn, good luck beating her, I say. Had a 20m handicap last time and was good in defeat when beaten around 5m. Has a front line draw this time around and will take beating with a clean getaway.

Value: Race 7, Number 1, Shez Got Bling
This mare is worth a speck at odds from the front line. Doesn’t win out of turn but hasn’t been far away of late, her latest run being on Friday night here when far from disgraced in defeat, beaten around 8m. If she can land leaders back from the good draw, she’s in with a shout to run well.

Tabcorp Park Menangle

Best bet: Race 2, Number 1, Illawong Moonbeam
Quality filly who should bounce back into the winners list. Strong winner here fresh before going to a Breeders Crown Heat at Maryborough where she made an early mistake and that sealed her fate. Back at Menangle, should hold the front from the pole and from there, it’s a painless watch.

Next-best: Race 3, Number 3, Watts Up Majestic
Good thing, this guy. He did qualify for a Breeders Crown Final at Melton and yes, pocket talking here, but I think he goes close with a clear path in the straight. He was trucking and full of running but couldn’t get a chance to show that. Back here, he should prove too good.

Value: Race 5, Number 2, Shanlou
I think this filly is worth an each way speck. Strong win from the front at this track last time out and was impressive throughout. This is clearly a harder assignment but has the gate speed to find the front then get the sit. If that indeed eventuates, she’s in with a shout at odds.
