The 2021 Bathurst 1000 is set to be the climax of a week of high-quality racing from the Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit with 38 different races taking place across the festival of power. With so much going on, The Roar has put together a detailed breakdown of each and every race so you won’t miss a moment.
If the Melbourne Cup is the race that stops a nation, the Bathurst 1000 is the race that deafens a nation as the greatest supercar drivers and their incredibly powerful machines tear around Mount Panorama. But there’s far much more to the week’s racing than the supercar climax on Sunday afternoon.
The festival will see 10 different categories of racing competition take place with the culmination seeing the likes of Shane van Gisbergen and Jamie Whincup go head to head in the Supercars final race of their season.
Racing categories including TCR Australia, GT World Challenge Australia, S5000, Trans Am, Touring Car Masters, V8 SuperUtes, Toyota 86s, Carrera Cup and Super2 are all on the support card with the first race taking place on Thursday morning at 8:25am with the V8 SuperUtes delighting the crowds.
The Supercars will race in the climax event – the Bathurst 1000 – that will start at 12:15pm AEDT on Sunday 8th December. 161 laps later, the King of the Mountain will be crowned and fans will look back on another memorable week of racing excellence.
