Matildas star Sam Kerr has taken a leaf out of Andrew Symonds’ book on how to deal with pitch invaders by dropping the shoulder onto a pest who ran onto the field during Chelsea’s UCL match overnight.
Kerr was given a yellow card for her efforts which was reminiscent of the former Australian cricketer’s hit on a streaker at the Gabba in 2008.
At least this pitch-invading idiot was wearing clothes but Kerr gave him short shrift as he held out his mobile phone to try to take a selfie next to Juventus star Magda Eriksson.
As the buffoon was running away from the security staff, Kerr took matters into her own hands and bumped him to the turf.
Kerr, who scored two crucial goals in the FA Cup final win over Arsenal, was given a yellow card by the referee, much to the chagrin of the fans.
The Women’s Champions League clash finished in a scoreless draw with Chelsea needing a draw from their final match to advance to the knockout stage but Kerr’s strike on the pitch invader was clearly the play of the day.
Sadly the live stream footage doesn’t show Sam Kerr colliding with the pitch invader, but it does show her getting booked, and the crowd booing the referee for it.#chelsea #juventus #samkerr #pitchinvader pic.twitter.com/tr8Yswomhj

In case you needed it, even more information that Sam Kerr is an absolute legend. Probably her best moment of the past week.

Australia: “How could we love Sam Kerr anymore?”
Sam Kerr: “What if I did my best Andrew Symonds impression and drop a pitch invader with a perfectly executed hip and shoulder?“
Australia: “That’ll do it” pic.twitter.com/AawW5zY0Jb
