Ten All Blacks have made a fan-voted all-time rugby XV while David Campese was the closest Australian to make the cut.

There was more joy for Wallabies in a separate amateur era XV with Campo, John Eales and Tim Horan named by the reader vote on rugbypass.com.

Three South Africans, Irishman Brian O’Driscoll – the only non All Blacks player in the backline – and Georgian Mamuka Gorgodze at No.8 were named alongside the 10 All Blacks.

Richie McCaw polled the most votes overall while Campese just missed out to All Blacks winger Doug Howlett with Jonah Lomu on the other wing.

Only two current day players are in the all-time XV – ABs halfback Aaron Smith and Springboks lock Eben Etzebeth.
