Ten All Blacks and zero Wallabies - although one came close - named in fan-picked all-time rugby XV

By The Roar / Editor

Ten All Blacks have made a fan-voted all-time rugby XV while David Campese was the closest Australian to make the cut.

There was more joy for Wallabies in a separate amateur era XV with Campo, John Eales and Tim Horan named by the reader vote on rugbypass.com.

Three South Africans, Irishman Brian O’Driscoll – the only non All Blacks player in the backline – and Georgian Mamuka Gorgodze at No.8 were named alongside the 10 All Blacks.

Richie McCaw polled the most votes overall while Campese just missed out to All Blacks winger Doug Howlett with Jonah Lomu on the other wing.

Only two current day players are in the all-time XV – ABs halfback Aaron Smith and Springboks lock Eben Etzebeth.

Oh dear, you have comprehension issues as well as anger issues. The point, dear Funless, was that you are better off not to post than to post ill informed vitriol. Your last post confirmed the value of that advice. You have embarrassed yourself and your compatriots with your ignorant denigration of maori culture and history. I'm guessing from your posts you didn't get past 'O' level in history and English. Congrats to your toenail for apparently being (unlike you) fairly well educated. Maybe said appendage could share just a little of that education with you? I can't help you any more, Funless. Do your own research on maori history if you want to improve your knowledge (unlikely I know).

     You’re yet to make ‘a point’ you gibbering cretin. My big toenail is better educated than you. But, again, feel free to list my ‘historical inaccuracies’ and, apparently, my ‘spelling errors.’ Break the habit of a lifetime. Make one substantive point that isn’t simply flatulent nonsense.

Proved my point again. I've tried to help you Funless, but all that comes back is cliches and ugliness. Sigh. One last tip though, as you mentioned school, you might want to pay some attention to your spelling as well as your history.

      Yes, those few thousand Maori were absolutely pivotal in deciding the course of World War II. So the Maori were defending 'us lot' were they? They had no vested interest in the defeat of the Axis powers? Japan taking over NZ and Australia would have been just fine?

       I'm going to take a wild guess, Muzzo, and suggest that in the three years you spent at school, History wasn't your 'best' subject. But, please, I'm sitting comfortably. Share with us how 'rugby rule changes' over the decades' have specifically helped England.

Now this shows your utter ignorance & behaving like whinging Pom's are known for. You might have invented the game of rugby, but since then, a big part of the world have been teaching you how to play it, & I won't mention the assistance rule changes have helped you lot, over the decades.

      Yes, taught huge ‘lessons’ by the Maoris. I mean, that’s why NZ has been dominated by the Maoris for the last 150 years? Oh, wait a minute. A boring, violent culture that has contributed the square root of sweet FA to anything.

Well has someone kicked the wheels off your chariot Pom, as your total ignorance shows no bounds. Hahaha just like during the Maori Wars you Poms were taught the art of Guerilla warfare, against people with inferior weaponry. So what happened, you called on a treaty to be made up, ( the Treaty of Waitangi) to help in handling a problem that you Poms were utterly hopeless at. But really in your case, ignorance is a bliss,
