Two meetings to look at on Friday, with Albion Park and Tabcorp Park Melton getting my attention. Down below is best bets for the respective programs.

Albion Park
Best Bet: Race 6, Number 1, Hello Its Me

I think this mare is a great bet. Hasn’t had much luck with gates in recent times but that all changes here, drawing the pole. Hasn’t been far away of late in races stronger than this, but from the pole, she can sit on speed, get a good run in transit and for mine, only runs well.

Next Best: Race 4, Number 4, Judge Jujon
He’s had a few chances to break the maiden tag but he gets a golden opportunity here I feel. He was game in defeat at Redcliffe last time, sitting on speed without cover for the trip and fought on gamely when second.

If he can find the front here, then I think it’s race over.

Value: Race 1, Number 1, Mister Chisholm
I think he’s worth an each way bet here. On form, I’d say he struggles, but he draws the front tape of this stand start and will have a 30m head start on key rivals, which is significant over the 2138m trip.

Led and tired last time, I think he’ll lead them up again and with that head start, will give cheek.

Tabcorp Park Melton
Best Bet: Race 7, Number 1, Rockingwithsierra

She’s quite clearly the best on the program IMO. Has gone around in the Breeders Crown and Super Series in recent times and has been far from disgraced behind some top class horse flesh.

Drops miles in grade/depth, should lead comfortably from the pole and take a power of beating.

Next Best: Race 3, Number 10, Abbracciami
This is a good test for this four year old but he does look above average. Debuted at Ballarat where he made an absolute mess of them from the front, winning by nearly 30 metres.

More depth here and now under stand start conditions, but I think he’s above average.

Value: Race 8, Number 1, Love Ina Chevy
Not entirely confident about this guy and his chances, but drawn the pole and likely landing leaders back, he’s worth a small each way ticket.

Hasn’t set the world on fire this time in but comes up with a gate to do no work in the run and be quite dangerous if he brings anywhere near his best.
