England have been annihilated by the Australians in the Ashes in 2021-22 as Australia have won the Ashes 4-0.
The Ashes 2021-22: An embarrassing series for England
The Ashes of 2021-22 has been an embarrassment for England. They got an excruciating defeat from the hosts.
I don’t expect such an inadequate effort from the England side. Do you?
Nothing really has worked for the visitors throughout the series.
Their batting and fielding has been absolutely poor. It’s their bowling that has kept them in the game most of the time.
Their body language has been quite pessimistic.

What went wrong for England?
Being straight forward, everything has gone against the visitors throughout the tour, especially their batting, which has let them down every now and then.

Their opening partnership has been un-prolific, which put immense pressure on the middle order and many times they also failed to deliver.
The highest opening partnership of England in this series is just 68 and you can imagine the pressure that the England batting line-up would have felt when the opening pair fails almost every time.
The only time when England showed a slight bit of resistance was in the fourth Test at the SCG where they dramatically drew the Test match.
Apart from that, they never looked dominant over the hosts. They were overwhelmed by the clinical Australian side.
The slavish devotion towards the white-ball cricket has cost them the series.

Commanding Aussies win the Ashes
This Ashes has been a dream series for Australia. Their batting, bowling and fielding has been exactly the opposite of what the visitors presented.
They outplayed the opposition in every department. They were over the top of the opposition every time and gave them absolutely nothing.
