The latest news around Newcastle United’s attempts to sign Sevilla defender Diego Carlos suggests that the club could well need to offer in excess of £35 million should they hope to acquire his services.
The player has recently submitted a transfer request and played the last two fixtures for Sevilla, yet Carlos’ papers have apparently been stamped in Spain, with a move to the United Kingdom almost certain should the two clubs be able to align the numbers.
Tottenham’s interest in Adama Traore has apparently brought them within touching distance of signing the Wolves defender.
After initially offering a figure deemed as insufficient by Wolverhampton for the 26-year-old Spaniard, a subsequent second offer appears to have hit the mark and serious negotiations around the finer details of the contract are now taking place.
Barring outside interest or a change of heart from the parent club, expect to see Traore in the white of Tottenham in the short-term future, in a move sure to buoy the London fans.

In the latest twist in the Dusan Vlahovic saga that has gripped world football over the past 26 days, Juventus has apparently sought to swoop at the eleventh hour and steal away the immensely talented Serb, with Arsenal seemingly holding all the aces as the end of the transfer window approached.
A €70 million offer may well be enough to torpedo all others, should the Italian giants find the funds to match the demands of Fiorentina.

Spurs seem keener to off-load the defender on a more permanent basis and a few more inter-club meetings may be required before the 22-year-old Englishman finds himself abroad. It could perhaps be the best thing for Tanganga’s career, with his time in London not bringing out the best in him and so much growth and development in his game still pending.
