Autumn gets another step closer this Saturday at Randwick with features for two and three year-olds with high hopes heading towards carnival time.

Hopefully rain stays away and the track is true (sly reference to Rosehill last week and the rails bias – the joys of Thursday form assessment!).
New format this week, hope it works and brings in the winners.

Best Bet: Race 4 – 6 Shadow Crush (3 units @ $6.50)
Shadow Crush can make it back-to-back wins stepping up in grade here. There’s speed galore, meaning it should set up nicely for him to charge home late. He’s flying, his last two runs have been great and the weight drop here is another tick.

Best value: Race 2 – 9 Very Sharp (2 units @ $21)
The Scone-trained Very Sharp looks overs in this week’s Highway, she weaved her way through nicely at Gosford fresh, she’ll be fitter here and has a previous Highway placing. Before her last spell she really attacked the line to win in fast time at Dubbo, with her tendency to settle and sprint home 1200 metres looks a good option too.
