David Moyes’ West Ham United have firmly established themselves as the best of the rest in the Premier League across the last couple of seasons.

A superb, sixth-place finish last season has been followed by another fantastic showing this season as the Hammers sit in fifth position, just two points behind fourth-placed Manchester United.

Many plaudits have gone to Moyes’ management as well as the performances of Declan Rice and Michail Antonio, but Jarrod Bowen’s performances have seemingly gone under the radar.

He currently leads West Ham in league goals with eight, along with Antonio, as well as assists with eight as well.

While he is clearly the leading contributor on his team, how does this stack up to the rest of the league?

Bowen is tied in seventh in the league for goals and tied in third in assists.

He also notably ranks 12th in shots per 90 minutes and 12th in dribbles per 90 minutes. He has been given a whoscored.com rating of 7.35 this season, which is higher than the likes of Phil Foden, Son Heung-Min and £100 million ($189 million) rated teammate Declan Rice.

The invaluable nature of Bowen can also be seen in his minutes this season.

He ranks fourth in the league for outfield minutes and has played just 27 minutes less than teammate and midfield lynchpin Declan Rice.

His value to the team has also grown drastically since last season when he ranked seventh in the team for minutes and played just 429 minutes more than he’s played this season.

While his performances might be flying under the radar for some, several clubs have taken notice of this exceptional form, notably English juggernauts Liverpool and Manchester City, according to reports.

While an asking price hasn’t been touted yet, it is unlikely the Hammers will let their talisman depart for anything south of £50 million (A$95 million).

Bowen has clearly established himself as one of the best wingers in the Premier League this season, with a better overall production than world-class attackers such as Sadio Mane, Son Heung-Min and Raheem Sterling.

While he may be enjoying his time in East London at the moment, it is only a matter of time until one of the big six come knocking for a new world-class winger.
