NRLW Grand Final live blog: It's Dragons v Roosters for the NRLW Premiership!

By The Roar / Editor

The big day is finally here: the biggest and best NRLW season will end with a new name on the trophy after the Sydney Roosters deposed reigning champs Brisbane Broncos last week to secure their place in the NRLW Grand Final.

It’s no easy task, however: they face St George Illawarra Dragons, who have been the standout performers this year and go in as favourites.

The Roosters struggled early on, losing their first two games to the Broncos and Gold Coast Titans, but turned their season around with a 19-18 victory over Parramatta Eels to secure a finals spot.

The Dragons, however, have been imperious. They lost just once – late to the Bronx – but were otherwise dominant and earned their spot.

Well, at least that's the only trophy the Roosters will be lifting this year.

The trophy has been handed out, with Sarah Togatuki named player of the match. She was immense. The match report is up on the homepage, so go have a read - and thanks for joining me!

The Rabbitohs should have been one of the of foundation clubs, jimmmy. They would have been if not for Nick Politis’s interference to get them hooked at the 11th hour. He stole their players (including Maddie Studdon) because the Roosters wouldn’t have had a team otherwise. . Don Vito Corleone is a choir boy by comparison to the Teflon Don, Nick Politis.

Look there was a bit of controversy about that last try but the Roosters were the better side. Beating the Broncs , then the Dragons , deserving premiers. I have enjoyed this NRLW season more than any. The standard has risen considerably. I just hope the new teams don't dilute the talent too much.

Wow...I need a sit down. Well, I am sat down, but I need a breather at least. The Roosters were superb and the Dragons couldn't break through that defensive line in the end.

What a story this is. They were on life support after two games, dead and buried at halftime in the semi-final and now they're the Premiers!

I just saw a TV screen showing the game... the Roosters scored again! It hasn't been the best weekend for Dragons fans unfortunately. Bad luck Dragons fans.

Should have been no try for obstruction. More farcical officiating

Sarah Togatuki with a huge break to get the Chooks up the park. There was a Rooster down in the middle of the field and everyone thought that it might stop, but Olivia Higgins didn't and takes advantage to score! 4-14 and that has to be it!

They let go of her so they didn't fall on the Rorters trainer and injured player and she runs off and scores! What a joke!

Oh dear! Roosters deserve it - they've been much better today. Togatuki's been superb in the second half. Hard to separate her and Baxter for PoM.

65 - All Dragons now, but Roosters are more than equal so far. Corban Baxter picks one up off her toes and rescues her side.

63 - What a passage this is. The Dragons finally get to a kick, a smart one out to Teagan Berry. She has the sniff of some space and tries to kick in behind, but Keilee Joseph catches it smartly. 4-10

Is there a force field at the try line at that end? Dragons look out of ideas. Tonegato's gone missing. Roosters defence is brutal.
