Show Preview

Both the Adelaide Crows and Gold Coast Suns will look to see where they’re really at when they clash on a Friday night. Stay up to date with their AFL clash with live scores on The Roar from 7:50pm (AEDT).

After their headline-making upset over Geelong in Round 1, the Crows were brought back to earth by Sydney last week in a disappointing loss. Woeful inaccuracy played a part, but Adelaide simply had no answers for a second- and third-quarter onslaught – falling more than 50 points in arrears before pegging back some late consolation goals. They’ll be looking to get back on track this week.

Gold Coast passed their first test of 2021 with flying colours last week, clinically dismantling North Melbourne to prove to all that they’re officially a class above the bottom four sides. The Suns will face a sterner test today, however, and will be looking to come out on top and really send a message that they could be a finals team this season.

The Suns demolished the Crows by 53 points when they met last year – their first ever win over the Crows after 13 straight losses. However, they’ve never won at the Adelaide Oval (from seven visits) and haven’t won in the South Australian capital at all since their memorable first ever win in 2011.
