The in-form Adelaide Crows can continue their surprising surge in 2022 when they host the badly struggling GWS Giants at an Adelaide Oval starting to become a fortress again. Join The Roar for live scores and rolling coverage from 2:10pm (AEST).

The Crows’ last fortnight has well and truly established them as a team on the rise this year. First, they were too powerful for Richmond at home, before stunning last year’s runner-up the Western Bulldogs in Ballarat.

Taylor Walker has been crucial in their surge, booting 12 goals in his three games since returning from his infamous racism suspension; while Ben Keays is in All Australian form in midfield and key back Jordan Butts in the midst of a breakout year.

The Giants, meanwhile, are 1-5 and in dire straits, with coach Leon Cameron hanging to his job by a thread. They haven’t been abysmal this year, but on the back of a semi-final berth in 2021, the club is beginning to look like it’s on the slide.

Toby Greene’s return from his six-week umpire bump ban didn’t do much to lift the Giants in defeat to an injury-ravaged St Kilda last week, with the team seriously lacking the spark of years gone by. While Jesse Hogan returns to sharpen their forward mix, it’s hard to see them overcoming a Crows outfit that has surged past them in 2022.
