Show Preview

Showdown 51 comes at a crucial time for both Port Adelaide and the Adelaide Crows, with both sides desperate to get their first wins of season 2022. Join The Roar for live scores from 8:20pm (AEDT).

The Power’s 64-point loss to Hawthorn last week was one of the most shocking of the AFL season to date, and has heaped the pressure on the club and coach Ken Hinkley.

Preliminary finalists the last two years, the Power are sorely missing Charlie Dixon in attack, but have still opted to omit tall recruit Jeremy Finlayson as one of three changes.

Wingman Xavier Duursma and debutant Josh Sinn have also been axed, with youngsters Jed McEntee and Jackson Mead returning to the 22 and the versatile Sam Mayes in for his first game of the season.

The Crows have been almost as disappointing in their 0-2 start to the year, with their performance against Collingwood sloppy enough to prompt footy director and club great Mark Ricciuto to label it ‘garbage’ on radio during the week.

Captain Rory Sloane is a big loss with an adductor issue, but reigning best and fairest winner Rory Laird returns from a pre-season broken hand.
